Seen this on opening night, hoping it was better than the Mtv-esque 1k Corpses. The teaser shots were awesome, so I thought, "eh.. why not?"
*MAY CONTAIN LITE SPOILERS*
Tits, tits, tits, bush, ass, foul language, rape, ultra-violence... ahhhh.. can't go wrong by bringing back the good ol' 70's exploition sleaze, eh? Alot of special appearances from the likes of Ginger Lynn, Priscilla Barnes, Geoffrey Lewis, Danny Trejo, P.J. Soles, Steve Railsback... the list goes on.
The violence is intense at moments, but all of it is shadowed heavily with cheesy dialogue and *fuck shit fuck*. Makes alot of references to religion and the parody of Christianity. Oh, did I mention Sherry's ass? That's about 70% of the film. Good stuff.
The writing could use alot of work. I hate humour, so expect it here. The violence is excellent. The humiliation is fantastic. Sig plays a druggie all-too-well. Skin-a-plenty. Poor Steve has a poor part. The plot (yes, plot) is played well on how the clan all got their names. Too much screen swipes and slow-mo. 70's music to set the mood for some scenes unnecessarily. Digital blood... that's a no-no, especially when it can be noticed that it is digital.
The ending, tongue-in-cheek. I didn't stay for the very very end to see if something should happen to appear after the credit roll, so I recommend that you do if you don't have to move to let ppl pass you.
Oh, did I mention, Sherry's ass?
Mmmmmmmmmmmm... good movie. But, Mtv moments are apparent, yet brief.
If you want me to add spoilers, tag me.
I hope you enjoyed this Cliff Note version of a review. Take it or leave it.

*note*
The CGI was for choreographed spurting and knife insertion/extraction and slitting neck wounds. A booby punture was an apparent CGI effect because of the flow across her breast, but the camera's shaky enough to kinda hide the rotoscoping. I see why Zombie wanted the CGI because he wanted you to see insertion (a HolyWood no-no in horror flix) of a knife in bare skin and not thru clothing. A retractable knife could have done well, but you also see flesh tearing and blood spewing forth from it without cutaway camera shots. The spurts were too globule and didn't have much motion blur as the camera was shaking, making it very much known it was digital. Perhaps to please MPAA that, yes, this is safe to pass because viewers will also notice this and say, "fake".
Best CG effect: chick getting plowed by semi. Aftereffect: a nice gore streak across the road of carcass meat, classic Gore Gallery stuff.
