Seem to be having some trouble with a DXi plugin for sonar 4. Its called 'Guitar rig' from native instruments. It gives you various amp and effects configurations for a guitar that is plugged into the sound card. So i have my guitar plugged in. Its supposed to go through the plugin and the sound is supposed to be converted into the effect specified. All im getting is a horrible feedback sound and most of the effects aren't working. If anyone is familiar with sonar 4 and guitar rig in particular, suggestions would be welcome.

I have guitar rig, but no guitar. I use the keyboard to produce sound. May it have to do with ... uhhh... what's that called.. the midi ouput/input config? There's like a few choices you can pick from in options. Make sure they are chosen the same in both?

I was unaware you could use the keyboard for guitar rig.

Hell... I could be mistakened... I could have meant the Elektrik Piano. I think I had issues with GR (simply couldn't play it?), but I have all the Native Instruments (Guitar.Pro.v4.0.8, Native.Instruments.Komplete.2.v1.0, Elektrik Piano, etc) and can't remember what worked for me, what I tried, etc etc...
Sorry.. just so very tired.
But still... test those input/outputs. One could be selected for the default and another could be selected for the card... who knows.
