Opeth is coming to toronto and playing at the Opera House. Big Whopper and I, of course, will be making an appearance.
October 29th. Nevermore is opening for them. Pelican will be opening on the tour untill the 22nd so I'm just going to miss them. Dam, that would have been awsome to see Pelican and Opeth in the same show. I saw Opeth and Porcupine Tree at a show in TO about 3 years ago and it ruled.

So the Opeth show in Toronto has passed. The band was at its best, guns blazing, the Opera House shaking to its foundation. It took all of mythical Atlas's strength to hold this place up. Of course, there were some distractions as evidenced by Pit Girl in the picture below. I didn't take that picture as I was up in the balcony and had a top of everything. Including said pit girl. Its to bad pitgirl was spaced out on speed and extasy. She missed a hell of a show. NEvermore was one of the openers. I didn't think much of them. My feet hurt like hell and its all I could think of when they were playing. If i'm praying for the pain in my feet to go away instead of feeling the music, thats not good. Fireball Ministry was the opening act. Good, solid band with a nice, traditional guitar based sound. They didn't really fit in with Opeth or Nevermore but were good in their own right.

hehehe.. Cameltoe. Yes, its very faint....but its there. She seemed to spend the entire night body surfing. There was one time when they crowd basically just let her fall head first. She was down for all of 3 seconds. Hopped up on speed and exstasy for sure.
