ABSIASP's newest Peeps parody is wrapping up production and should be done by July 29th. It's a recreation of the 1933 black and white version of King Kong, titled, appropriately enough, Peep Kong. Run time will probably be close to eight minutes and it features a greenscreen stop motion Kong. Be on the lookout for it soon. I may put it on bittorrent and if so, I'll put the link in here.

Nice I'm a big fan of stop motion so I'll be looking forward to this one.

Damn! I haven't seen ALL your peeps yet, but with those screens, this may be the best yet. Looks like you got some rotoscoping going on there, man! Great shots.

Damn the both of you. You two have accomplished much more than I have in 5 years. But, then.. it's hard for me to find a cam op.

As I type this I'm proud to say Peep Kong is in the bag. It's getting the divx treatment right now and I'll have to burn it to a disc and see how it looks on the TV first. That's when I notice tiny mistakes that I have to go back and fix, but I'm pretty sure I got it right the first time. It will be available very soon. Thanks for all the interest in these stupid little productions.

Bit of trivia. According to imdb, King Kong's roars were created by combining the roars of lions and tigers and then played in reverse. I did the same thing. And in the scenes where the natives are talking, that is also backwards dialog. A couple of the things they are saying are "This is a secret backwards message", and "Watch the ABSIASP movies and enjoy!". I won't tell you what else they say, so as to leave the surprise to those industrious and curious enough to find out for themselves.

You should take more pride in those s'stupid little productions'..they are not easy to make as I found out and they bring some laughter and cleverness to those who enjoy them.

Great aerial shots. I was looking at it and going, "how in the hell....?" Best shots you've ever done (from cockpit, as in the last image above). Cheesy ass dialogue, I must say. ;D "yeah.. bay-beee" ehheeheheheh Dig the Kong clay. Nothing like Kong, but then this isn't Kong. Great.. absolutely GREAT stop motion. Your natives? hehehee... well, they were just as annoying as the ones in the film. ;D And, no, I haven't played the audio backwards to decrypt it.

Well I appreciate the comments. The biplanes were captured from my flight simulator. I flew them over a blue sky and keyed out the sky. Turned out better than I had hoped as well. Peep Kong went through a number of variations. I wanted something simple looking. To look Peep-like without much detail. My original plan was to make a foam Kong with a wire armature. That didn't work. Then I went with the one you see and it worked perfectly. Anyways, thanks again for the good words.
