Does it have any decent water effects? I am thinking hard on how to do the water stuff for Peeps Jaws. I can do old fashioned waves the way I did it in Friday the Peep-teenth, by taking two wave pics in front of each other and animate them moving back and forth but I need underwater shots and ways for the shark to splash out of the water, like when he pops out at Roy Scheider.

Sorry guys.. never used it.
But, for water effects, question: Is the shark going to be a Peep or some type of clay thing like Kong? If you use that clay looking stuff, or toy, why not just use your tub or sink? You can do it in 3-5 layers for the scene you mentioned of Jaws coming out of water and Roy later stating, "need a bigger boat":
Comp 1 *Tub/sink with Jaws *Adjustment layer with rotoscope mask to color water darker blue --adjust also speed playback for good water splash-out
Comp 2 *Comp 1 to back layer *Boat deck *Peep Roy *Any Adjustment Layer necessary *sound

That's a good suggestion. I'm also seeing about doing underwater shots looking up, like the scene in the beginning as Jaws heads up to bite the swimming girl. I've looked at some digital possibilities, creating waves in images but it just doesn't look convincing enough. Peeps dissolve in water too. That poses another problem. In Peepsycho I used an artificial peep cast out of plaster and covered in shelac. For the shark I plan on using a general rubber toy shark like you find in any toy aisle of any store. I'll keep your suggestions in mind because that may very well solve a lot of the problems right there. Thanks.

I did some basic water sprays in Peeps Deadly Spawn with Alamdv2. I also did the rain completly with it. Im not sure how it will do an actual large body of water like an ocean.

Underwater shot: *bkgnd-Archive (even from Jaws) uw footage shot looping *your split beaver swimming Peep *duplicate bkgnd layer, set on Overlay OR Soft Light, transform size of layer (test different sizes.. if small looks good, dupe and fill in to all four corners of comp) Also, if your a pimp at Particles, you can diffently do it that way.

Weir: This will be good for the splash-out of Jaws. Implement it with actual footage of body and create the splash with Al.

It might be simple after all. I was sloshing a liquor bottle and noticed I can shoot footage from underneath when it's on it's side and it does make an underwater looking image. But these are great suggestions!

Weir: When I find the time, I may go ahead and do a test run of a technique using AE and the clip provided. Tonight I'm busy writing, and tomorrow I'm busy doing concept drawing for someone. Perhaps as I'm waiting for a reply about the concepts, I'll fondle AE and do a concept Peep underwater sequence. *edit* Now, back to the topic on hand.

Yeah I was playing with AE a little bit trying to create an underwater looking up shot with part of the peep semi visible above the surface, which calls for half of the peep to appear wiggling by the water distortion and the other half not. My attempt looked like crap.

I'm just gonna log out to boot onto my rendermachine. I'll see what I can come up within 4 hours. If interesting, I'll post. *edit* I work best when half asleep. it'll be after 3AM when I get a concept done. *edit2* Would have been nice to download the clip.
