I won't do a review here since most of us have seen this but I'll go on record as saying the obvious. This is my favorite movie in the world. I saw it in the theater back in 1997 and was completely blown away by it. So much so that I ended up seeing it twelve times during its run. Jump to the present and I've seen it over 100 times. Yes, I keep count. 103 actually. I collect memorabilia although some pieces are very expensive and way out of my price zone. I do own a hat and jacket worn by the original crew of the Event Horizon and they are seen during the captain's log video sequences. I also have numerous cast autographs and four posters. One is the Turkish theaterical poster and another is a Hebrew poster from Israel. I also have other rare pieces and found the script online yesterday after waiting years to find it. I look forward to Paul Anderson's special edition DVD which promises to feature a number of cut scenes, which are in the script. I know a lot of people freely use Anderson's name in the same sentence as Uwe Boll (oops, I just did that) but I am quick to defend the guy. I haven't seen an Anderson flick I didn't like. Ave atque vale: "Hail and farewell"- Last recorded words of the Event Horizon's captain, John Kilpack before jumping through the gateway.

I've always dug the film, myself. It's an overlooked film. Funny thing is, I don't think many people realize that it's a horror deviation of the great Russian Sci-Fi/Drama "Solaris". If no one's seen the original "Solaris" (not the Clooney remake), I recommend it highly, especially if you enjoy EH.
